One great piece of advice I received before entering law school was simply “be like a sponge.” The idea was to absorb everything and be open to anything. This was extremely useful because law school was a whole different world in itself, complete with its own language, culture, and time zone.
Entering this new career path, I’ve decided to keep the same sponge mindset. Ask the right questions and absorb it all, the culture, the people, the challenges, the potential.
This is where the beauty of starting fresh lies, in the possibility of expanding ourselves in ways we’ve never known. And before we know it, we’re twice the size we started with.
